Allah sent the Qur'an, which is the single source of honour for anyone in this Dunya and in the Akhirah!

Allah  says about Jibra'eel عليه السلام

Jibra'eel عليه السلام is referred to multiple times in the Qur'an, his status was elevated because of his task to convey the revelations, especially Al Qur'an!

You enjoin good and forbid evil and believe in Allah.

Allah says about Ramadhan
شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ
The month of Ramadhan, in which was revealed the Qur'an.
_
Allah praised the month of Ramadan out of the other months by choosing it to send down the Glorious Qur'an, just as He did for all of the Divine Books He revealed to the Prophets.
_
Allah then elevated Laylatul Qadr!
Indeed we have sent in Laylatul Qadr- and what will make you know what Laylatul Qadr is- the Laylatul Qadr better than 1000 months.

Allah sent the Qur'an and whatever it was received by became elevated and honoured!

As Umar Ibn Al Khattab رضي الله عنه said "We were the most humiliated people on earth and God gave us honor through Islam. If we ever seek honour through anything else, God will humiliate us again"

Jannah is perfumed for Ramadaan

Jannah is perfumed for Ramadaan. It is beautified from the beginning to the end of the yr. When the 1st night of Ramadaan comes , then a wind named Mutheera blows beneath the Arsh. This causes the leaves of the trees & the door handles to give of such a melodious as had never been heard before. The pleasing dark eyed damsels stand between the balconies of Jannah & call out " O Ridwaan (keeper of Jannah) What night is this ?" He replies " Labbaik this is the first night of Ramadan . The doors of Jannah have been opened for the ummah of Nabi ﷺ today. ‎الله says to Ridwaan, " O Ridwaan Open the doors of Jannah & O Maalik (doorkeeper of Jahannum) close the doors of Jahannum for those who fast from the ummah of Ahmed ﷺ

Don't let this opportunity pass by, by fasting just 6 days of shawwal (this month) you'll be rewarded as if you've been fasting a whole year. Tag someone who you want to fast the 6 days with..

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: Allah's Apostle was the most generous of all the people, and he used to reach the peak in generosity in the month of Ramadan when Gabriel met him. Gabriel used to meet him every night of Ramadan to teach him the Qur'an. Allah's Apostle was the most generous person, even more generous than the strong uncontrollable wind (in readiness and haste to do charitable deeds). Reference: Sahih Al Bukhari 6

THINGS TO BE AVOIDED DURING RAMADAAN

1. Don't sleep during the day and pray all night. By doing this you are converting the day into night and the night into day, which is not the purpose of fasting. 2. Avoid being lazy and inactive during the day. 3. Don't waste time playing games during the day. Rather, please Allah by increasing in your worship of him. 4. Avoid having If-tar parties. Ramadan wasn't meant to be a food extravaganza. 5. Don't ask your wife to spend Ramadan in the Kitchen. Eat something light and quick. 6. Spend the last 10 days worshiping Allah rather than trying to prepare for Eid! A day that is better than a thousand months is in these last 10 days. You can't afford to miss this. 7. Don't stay awake the full night. Your body has a right over you, and when it wants rest, then rest. 8. Avoid excessive socializing after Taraweeh 9. Avoid shopping a lot in Ramadan. 10. Don't eat the full night. 11. Don't loiter around at night rather than worshiping Allah. 12. Eid doesn't require loads of preparation. Don't fall into this trap! Keep it simple, and it will be blessed. May we witness this forthcoming Ramadan with sound health Aameen.... Common mistakes in Ramadan: 1. Drinking Milkshakes made with syrups etc on a daily basis - Why: It contains high amounts of sugar, additives and colorants - Solution: If you have to, drink it twice a week maximum 2. Drinking large amounts of water at iftaar time - Why: Filling the stomach with water is more strenuous to it than with food. - Solution: have a few sips at iftaar then a glass after every two hours. 3. Exercising directly after iftaar. - Why: the body's blood flow is concentrated around the stomach at that time. - Solution: Exercise after two hours of eating to ease digestion. 4. Chewing and swallowing food fast. - Why: chewing food slowly can speed up digestion and help maintain your weight 5. Having dessert directly after iftaar - Why: they make you drowsy and sleepy - Solution: leave at least a two hour gap between iftaar and dessert to stay fresh and awake for ishaa and taraweeh prayers 6. Consuming foods with high amounts of sodium - Why: Sodium triggers thirst through out the fasting hours of the day - Solution: instead, eat foods that are high in potassium, they retain water and suppress your thirst. # Bananas are high in potassium. A banana at Suhoor time can control your thirst level through out the day. # Best sources of potassium for Suhoor time: - bananas - milk - dates - avocados - dried peaches - pistachios - pumpkin - peas - dark chocolate # Worst choices for Suhoor: - biryani - kebab - pizza - fast food in general - cheese - haleem # Best choices for Suhoor: - potato - rice - dates - whole grain bread - banana # Drinking lots of water at suhoor is important, but not as much as drinking it through out your non-fasting hours. Please do not keep this reminder to yourself, share with your beloved brothers and sisters اللَّهُ give us the understanding jazak Allah khair!
